Asia – Stage 5: On the way from Kiev to the airport
We managed to find a place to sleep and have both a night walk and a tour of the day.
In vain I tried to find postcards to send home, but they are only sold in 20pack and we did not find a mailbox or stamps.
Now here we checked on the airport's internet café and take in some food.
Update from Kiev will as soon as we get a chance to write in peace.

Asia – Stage 4: a trip to Kiev
After the two hour flight, we end up at Kiev's airport, Boryspil. We have the opportunity to stay at the airport, but chose to go out in the Ukrainian city to look around.
Most people who work at the airport speaks poor or no English, However, they explain very thoroughly in Russian, which does not help us much. We have some questions because we want to be sure that we are welcomed in at the airport again about 15 hours.
After a lot of ifs and buts, we help to look up our checked luggage so we could spend the Absolut vodka bottle we bought at the request of our hosts in Vietnam.
When we got to the controller that would accept our passports he stares us straight in the eye and say harshly: Flight from?
We could barely discern it, and handed out passports.
-Flight from? Repeats the controller with a sigh, and we draw up the airline tickets.
He sees us impatiently in the eye and say V Stockholm.
The FE study our passports carefully, memorize our pictures and stares straight at us before we get our stamps in your passport.
We ar looking on Ukrainian soil!
Once outside the airport, it is stuffy and about 25 degrees with sweltering air.
Our beautiful and colorful jumpsuits are exchanged for shorts and t-shirt before looking up a city guide on paper and take out 1000 hryvnia (Hr) in an ATM, we have no idea what the currency is equivalent to ours and we regret that we did not have time to change money at the airport…
In our little guide, we find a few addresses to Hostels inside Kyiv, located about 3,5 mil from the airport. We will immediately offered a taxi, but take the local bus that is both safer and cheaper. A bus ride into town costs 25 Mr. and taxi drivers wanted € 20.
We will come back when we found somewhere to live. ![]()

Asia – Stage 3: Now it's off to Kiev
I and V are not good at it there with the anticipation.
Just before we boarded the plane so I pulled off one last job email from your computer.
As of this writing is W in a telephone queue for a telephone bank and has weathered the 93 locations of sex… Now he talks with the bank while the plane begins to get ready to lift…
Next time you hear us in Kiev!
